Inspiration: Halloween
Well now Halloween has rolled around and that means more scrapping to do. I picked up somethings for new pages, the one that pops out most in my mind is my Tim Holtz tissue tape.
Mini Review:Tim Holtz Tissue Tape Halloween Edition: I love and hate my tissue tape, it's very complicated. The possibility are endless and I've already put together a few layouts with it. My main issue is the stick, it doesn't adhere well and for the price I certainly think it should. I had parts that I had layered falling off of my pages which was an issue since I had put some text and stickers over the top. Due to the thinness when I tried to glue it to the page it looked off but if you had a clear glue-stick or tape it would work, but why have to go the extra mile? I was looking forward to getting the Christmas tissue tape since I had missed out last year but I'm not sure anymore. It's a hit and miss product and you'd have to see how you like it yourself because I can't rave on about it because it does have some odd cons. (Ps. This is my first Tim Holtz product I'm iffy about, That's pretty good considering I'm a fanatic)
Shop Spot:
Wal-mart has some cute brads and small things for Halloween scrapping for a dollar! I got some adorable brads for a little under a dollar!
Micheals has had on and off Halloween sales from 40% off of recollections to other great discounts, the best sales will be after today I'm sure.
Scrap-Buck as always has cute things and a decent variety's with a nice price, my favorite I picked up was some "looking glass" Halloween sticker type things, very cute.
Soon I'll be picking up some crafting foil to use with my new cricut create! I'll show the results when I'm done with my pages!
Happy Scrapping!
Pps: I unfortunately missed out on scrapexpo 2011, Oh well theirs always next year!

Product Review: Fiskars Stamp Press
Alright I know this product isn't anything new but I just don't think I could live without it. They come in two sizes though I only own the smaller one it works for even my largest stamps! I really wonder how huge of a stamp you would have to have to use the large block, I probably won't purchase it because I don't have a need for it.
This is pretty much the ultimate stamp block. Like any other block just put your clear stamp on it but instead the corners of the block have soft sponges so you have a easier time positioning your stamps. I find it easier to position things and re-stamp directly on top if I made a mistake and I needed to make the image darker or fix a mistake, etc.
I purchased mine from:, for: $9.45: http://store.scrapbooking-warehouse.com/342535.html
And this is the larger version: $12.88: http://store.scrapbooking-warehouse.com/479180.html
For the few extra dollars you may as well get the larger version but it's always up to you. Personally my compact one is perfect.
Pros: Cheap, Practical, Works on stamps of all shapes and sizes
Cons: The plastic is a bit thin especially compared to some stamp blocks but it hasn't broken or anything on me yet.
Edit: My son started to eat the spongy corners. So not kid proof! Going to order the big one soon.
End Result: Can't live without it! <3

Shopping Spotlight: Scrapbuck
Shopping Spotlight: Scrapbuck.com
This is my first recommendation and will ALWAYS be one of my highest. I prefer to talk about sites that I have ordered from at least once before but will specify if I haven't.
I've ordered from scrapbuck twice now and I have no issues with them. They are fast, friendly and reliable. At first I thought it might have been a scam because everything is so cheap but no, it certainly is the real deal.
So far I haven't had an issue with them in the least. With my first order they were out of a product so they let me know and credited it back to my account. I was a bit disappointed because I had already known how I was going to use it but eh, what are you going to do?
A pointer of mine is they have a lot of "cheap" items, non namebrand. I believe the name is "forever in time". The packaging is purple and looks rather cheap but I will say MOST of the products are okay. Without looking into the zoomed in ribbon product I bought it and it wasn't worth my money to say the least. I don't know what I'm going to do with it and it was a waste of money. I used it on a project and it made it look rather cheap. So all I can say is watch what you buy. Also one of the tape runners I bought got tangled and broken within two seconds of using it but besides those incidents I don't mind the brand and still try it because it is cheap.
I find the site most useful on purchasing paper, stamps, sticks and ribbon. They update their stock constantly but since shopping with them I notice they generally have a lack of punches and inks. While they do have a bit of both, the ink is off brand(Nothing wrong with that but I prefer my Distress inks and other name brand products) and the punches are almost never cute.
Besides watching out for the "cheap" products that they carry I have a satisfactory shopping experience with them.
From as long as I've known about them they don't seem to do "e-coupons" but with the prices of anywhere from less then a dollar up to about ten dollars you don't really need it.
On a side note I am rather cheap when it comes to shipping and I'm sure you'll become aware of this in my reviews. One of the things I ADORE about this site is hit $20 and it's free shipping! Also they work fast, all orders are shipped within one business day. Which in terms of shipping makes it the best deal and the quickest scrap-booking site I order from. Most of the others take about a week.
Example: I ordered from scrap-booking-warehouse.com on a Sunday took 8 days to get to me, got here on a Monday. The processing was about 2-3 days. Ordered from scrapbuck.com on a Sunday, it was delivered on a Thursday. Processing like they advertise is only 1 day. While they don't have everything I need they're a great buy.
If I gave ratings they'd have a perfect score. I love this site!

First Post and Things To Expect!
Alright, so this is my first post ever. Yay!
Anyways this is my scrap-booking/artsy/craft/cardy blog. I'll be posting tutorial and such in the upcoming weeks and I'll also have a link to my etsy going so you can purchase cards and other homemade things.
Upcoming:
Tutorial pages
Tips and Tricks
Giveaways
Contests
Recommended shopping such as websites etc.
Product Reviews
Product Recommendations
Monthly Favorites
Scrapbook EXPO 2011(As of now I am going but it's not til the end of the year)
Steals and Deals
and many more!
On a side note I'll be collecting things here and there from shopping trips and online purchases to put together for giveaways. The items will be random things that I think look cool or interest me or will be items I absolutely love and recommend. These things are all bought on my small budget so giveaways may be far between but I'll try to make them neat.
Contests are on the same boat except their will be an actual effort needed to be put into them, such as "Create a scrapbook page only using Tim-Holtz products" and then you'll need to make a video/blog post/etc something to show me the creation and then the best one will win the prize.
Since this is funded by me I'll post a paypal for anyone to donate to, even if it's $1 it's appreciated because the more money/the quicker it's funded then you'll have more giveaway opportunity and contests. I'll be sure to include a small thank you somehow for higher donations (Such as a card or something to donors over $15) Also with donations it makes multi-prize giveaways/contests possible (such as 1st 2nd 3rd or more then one prize package per giveaway).
Contests are only valid in the US as international shipping is so outrageous. (I'm sorry overseas friends and our neighbors in Canada! Though I may look into shipping to Canada and check the prices)
Anyways I'll update when everything gets going, hopefully soon! See you soon!
-Love, Noemi
